Fan Base

Heroes has a huge fan base who are dedicated to keeping this show alive. As of this week, Heroes is the number 1 show on TV right now. Not only do fans follow the show on TV, but they are also given an option to follow it online as well. NBC has its own website where fans can put pictures they have drawn of their favorite characters into the "fan art gallery." The website also has Heroes webisodes where fans can go and create the storyline and create there own "heroes." The list in never-ending, and people seem to be eating all of it up. I think it is safe to say that Heroes will soon, if they don't already, have a following as big and committed to them like that of Star Trek.

The Beginning

Heroes is a show on NBC that was created by Tim Kring. It is a science-fiction based show where people from all around the world begin to discover that they have super human abilities. It is a show that tells a story as if the viewer is reading a book. Each episode is a chapter, and the end of the season brings an end to the book. However, the show is a saga, and it is as if a new book is written to continue the story with the beginning of a new season. Tim Kring wanted a show that had people in there every day lives having to deal with extraordinary abilities. The concept of the show was big enough to catch NBC's attention, and the pilot of the show was aired on September 25, 2006. The show was a huge success and is now one of the biggest shows in the United States as well as other countries around the world. Heroes is here to stay for a long time.
